Any Beatle Gear books?

I have the Bob Spitz book that is about as long as war and peace I'm reading right now. But does'nt exactly give a lot of gear details at all.
It does mention how Paul used a 2x15 Fender Bassman at one show at the star club and how Stu told Paul that he could not have his bass. It does mention a couple of other not real relative items too such as their first Pa was the art college Pa and so forth.
But as far as real details of what instruments and amps they used and when and where they came in is almost nil of any information. It has'nt even mentioned the Hofner.
Being a gear head it looks as though I am gonna need a more Beatle gear orinated book after this one.
Any good ones out there?

There's a great book dedicated to it:

Beatles Gear: All the Fab Four's Instruments, from Stage to Studio

It's pretty thorough in it's coverage of the Fab's gear from first instruments they had right up through the end of the Beatles.

Lots of great pictures too.

IMO, it's a must for any Beatles fan.

Thanks Brian. I know that some of their instruments were gifts. Some they did'nt like too much were just given away and others were retained and cherished by them for their lifetimes.
I would just like to know as much as possible why the choices were made.
I'd like to know more about their amps too. I know that Brian had the deal with Vox on endorsing Vox amps while he was alive. But I'm sure they had favorites of them and their later amps too that they kept around for different reasons.
As you can see I'm just a gear hound and a lover of the history too.

Dan - the best site on this sort of subject, IMHO is Nick Thiel's "Beatlesgear" site...
http://www.beatlesgear.com/
The research that went into this site is incredible. Right know, there is information only on the Bestles' amps, but the instruments and other subjects will be up there at some point. I bet the info on the amps alone will keep you occupied...

Tony,

Perhaps to be perfectly correct, thanks to you first for bringing the site to our attention and then thanks to Nick for doing such a wonderful job of providing such detailed information on the site.
