Hi guys...
I am a new member and I've been drawn to the jangle ever since the Beatles and yes I am that old.

I want to put a Ric 12 string in the band and I request your help in picking the right model for me. I have a medium large hand so will the 330/360 work for me or does the nut mod make the neck thinness a non issue. Which pups would you recommend? We play Beatles, Byrds and Petty.

I know you've seen these same questions over and over but it's a new science to me and I want to buy the right guitar on the first try.

Hi Jim - welcome to the board.

I believe that you will find a 330 or 360 comfortable in your hands, but without the wider nut mod, I'm sure you will be frustrated on some level by your fingers constantly muting other strings. While I've never played a 660/12, I hear that the factory setup of this wider necked 12 is almost perfect for any player - no mods needed here.

The 330 and 360 will be cheaper than the 660, but of course, you will need to factor in the price of the mods to the overall picture.

I'm a small-to-average-size guy with a 360/12. The narrow neck was a terrific problem for me to get accustomed to. I had a new, respaced nut put in, and it makes all the difference in the world. Do that, and put on a 12-saddle bridge, and you'll have the ultimate 12-string.
