I am pleased! I don't care for the current fireglo and wouldn't mind if it faded into oblivion....AMBER FIREGLO! I LOVE it!!!

I am looking at my AFG 4001 as I write this! Unfortunately it does not have walnut wings ('73).

Kinda hard for me to get excited yet. I look forward to seeing some side-by-side photos to really get a grasp of the differences in the shades.
JH also says on the RIC Forum that they aren't done yet.

As I posted elsewhere, it's not going to happen. It just doesn't look particularly special in MG.
Look for a new guitar, per se, and a new feature, per se, instead.

Chris, I agree with you. The current FG is a little too pink in the center for me. I love that amber tint!

that is one step closer to this ...
http://www.3dentourage.com/425/68-ric-2.htm
the 4003 now has walnut headwings, the headstock shape is back to the 60s shape, the body wings are back to 60s shape, we won't see full width inlays but checkered binding would be cool ... and the horseshoe and toaster are doable and the old shape pickguard and finger rest can be acquired ... and the old tailpiece can be installed ...
so like I said they are one step closer to the v68 ... cool ...

I like it. Now to pick the guitar or bass it would look great on... Maybe the 620? Or the 4003? This is going to be tough...

Brian Medway had it right in this thread back on Dec. 21, 2005.
