I saw Lizzy a few times in the late 70's and early 80's.

They were simply dynamite live. Only Queen and The Who compared at that time imo...

Thank you fer the nod Dane.. yes I do feel young, but I always feel bad when someone dies. Actually I read the first line and gasped, than realized he was already dead.

I need to listen to some of his stuff.

12 LPs that ranged from jazzy blues to metal. Very versatile indeed.

jailbreak doesn't rank in their top 5 for me, but it is definitely a good LP.

I suspect that Gary Moore flitted in and out of Phils life because he could not handle a steady diet of seeing his friend high on heroin.

No question Phil was a great bass player and songwriter. I would have loved to have watched those two release multiple platinum albums together. Sadly real life got in the way of that dream.
