Nice pics, Jeff. What was the "bass-is" of the confluence? Couldn't have been guitars, surely....

If I may, Jeff. The occasion was my visit with Jeff to drop off my Cheyenne and Laredo to have vol/vol/tone installed. I was on my way to Buffalo to visit my mom and sis and to pickup a recent eBay purchase (blueburst Höfner 500/1). Jeff called Steve Cooper over (on the left in photos, I'm on the right, Jeff in the middle), and we jawed basses for a while, then went out for beer and burgers. Jeff was kind enough to let me crash the night there. I came back through four or five days later and picked up the modified basses. Oh, Jeff also bought the black-trimmed MG from me. That was a beauty. He ended up selling it to another forumite, and I think it has been sold again. I've lost track where it's gone.

It didn't start out as a confluence but it turned into one ... and then we all got the idea to start getting together ... and now we even let some guitar players come to them as well ... the first one was all basses ...

Hmmmm.... a Dean! Darren Trott has an 8 string - can't remember the make - awesome sounding thing! Mind you, he's a pretty awesome player, too!!
That is cool, Jeff!

I am thinking of maybe doing a confluence in my house again ... if we keep it 12 people or less ... in other words just for the local Michigan people ... I have no dates in my head yet ... the idea just occurred to me a few minutes ago ...

ya that is what I was thinking a local thing for people within a 100 mile radius ... then we wouldn't need airlines and hotels ... and we might even let those 6 string guys come ...
