Hey Ilan,
You beat me too it! I just spotted it!
I like the "I bought this bass only a couple of weeks ago, selling due to buying an actual rickenbacker bass...."
They ripped off Rickenbacker's looks & Alembic's name!
The EUROPA I belive is an Alembic model, even though they look nothing alike!
Too strange!

Somehow, I think Mr. Hall is not going to be that flattered.

Lotus also used the name "Europa" for a sport coupe back in the 60's.

Europa was also the proposed name for the 4004 bass Series but too many people said "Huh? You misspelled Europe".

There was also an instrumental song "Europa" by a techno pop group, may have been Kraftwerk, I can't remember.
No, probably not Kraftwerk.

The reason one of Jupiter's moons is named Europa is BECAUSE Europa was an a goddess in Greek mythology. Or was it Roman? Whatever, the Romans stole everything from the Greeks anyway . . . except for vomitoriums. And the colosseum.
