I shouldn't post this but I asked what type of tuning machines were on it.I would be curious to know if Grovers were used or if Ibanez actually went through the trouble to copy them also.I'm certain if this dosen't get pulled and the tuners are real this bass will sell only for that fact.Hell,I'd buy it-pull the gadgets off and toss the rest.My luck being as it is they would be the wrong dia. anyhow.

Those are Grover replicas. To tell you the truth, they are more reliable than Grovers in that they will not come apart in time. As for their footprint and diameter being the same as genuine Grovers, I'm not sure though.

Looks like the hardcase is genuine Rickenbacker...

I can't imagine Ibanez would go through all the ttrouble of copying the Grovers and not get the dimensions correct.

I just checked: the dimensions are correct.

The case & tuners would be almost worth what the bids are at now!
It'll probably vanish pretty soon, though.

Did ebay pull the auction because of copyright issues? If the name Rickenbacker isn't mentioned does it still get pulled?

If it's a Ric copy, it gets pulled, whether the seller mentions the R word or not.
