4003 Bridge Pup Not working

I just got a 4003 and the bridge pup won't work. I've checked the jack and it seems to be making contact for both pups. Anyone run into this before?
Thanks,
Norris

The 4003 has 2 output jacks. One requires a TRS type cable for stereo output of the pups, the other is a standard TS type jack. First, make sure you are using the standard jack, the one closest to the strap button.

Everyone does that at least once.

sometimes pickups go dead ... check the wiring to see if everything is connected ... also remove the pickup and test it on an ohm meter it should test in the 8 to 11 k ohm range ... if you live anywhere near southeast Michigan then bring it by my little workshop I can help you diagnose the problem and maybe even fix it ...

Assuming this is not one of those ROS problems, the most likely point of failure is the toggle switch, more so than the pickup itself. You might want to look at those contacts, assuming the ROS switching contacts in the jack are working right.

It's more than likely the pup. I've check the jack and toggle and know they are working properly. I'll test the pup this evening.
BTW, thanks for the offer Jeff, but I live in Texas.
John, what's a ROS problem?

ROS = Ric-o-sound

Norris - you posted this on the 'Pit?
If so IIRC it's the bridge PU not working, so it can't be the ROS...but you might want to see if you get anything from the ROS plug...that will isolate the bridge PU with a mono cable.
If you are getting a signal through the ROS plug, and no bridge PU through the standard (mono) jack, then someone futzed with the wiring in there. If you get nothing through the ROS then you're guess that there's a problem with the PU is more likely closer to the truth.
Keep us posted...

Yea Ed, it's also on the pit.
I get nothing thru the ROS jack at all. I'll bet you're right, it must be the pup. I'll get into it tonight to see if I can find a loose wire. I've also got a spare bridge pup I can try. I had hoped it might be something simple. This is not my first Ric, but it is the first one I've ever had any trouble with.
Thanks!

Repaired!!!!!!!! Hot wire to bridge pup was broken in two different places. Turns out the wire was brittle all the way to the pot. Weird deal huh? Anyway, replaced it and now it sounds great.
Thanks for your help!
