Yes, it's true. I tried and tried and tried getting THAT sound out of it and it's just not happening. I am a RIC man. Period. So it's on the market. I am listing it on eBay tonight but if someone from here wants it, $1250 shipped.

Sean........I was SO hoping it would work out for you! But a Ric is a nice alternative!

Whoa Sean, give it a while. Maybe you should try some different strings.

I swear by D'Addarios, but I had an old vintage Jazz bass that I just couldnt get the right tone with, I started trying different strings and found that DR HI-Beams made all the difference in the world. Brought out a completely different voice.

I dont like them on my Ricks, but for that specific bass it made a huge difference.

Too bad it didn't work for ya' Sean. I understand the quick turnaround.....I've had some basses (even a few Rics) that just didn't feel right to me for some reason so I sold them off quickly as well.

if for some reason i don't get what i want for it, i may be able to trade it for 2 jazz basses i have been eyeing.
