Corey,
Thanks for the link.
Is that a 4003S/8 in Mike's hands? It looks nice under the studio's florescent lighting.
Looks like they're tracking in Bryan Adam's Warehouse studio in downtown Vancouver. (AC/DC was tracking in the room the last time I was there.)

Paul,
Yes, they are currently in Vancouver at Bryan Adam's studio. They've recorded parts of their last two records there.
I'll be moving out there to go to production school later this year, but they'll be gone long before I get there

Corey,
Don't worry. I'm sure they'll get back there to record again when you're in Vancouver which is so near Seattle(where Peter Buck lives, if I'm not mistaken).
What production school are you going to? Music procuction?

Good to see Mike Mills with a Rick again. It inspires me to dig out their second album "Reckoning" and here those Rick tones from the past!

Paul,
I'm going to be applying to a place called "The Trebas Institute" and taking the Music Production stream of their courses (they also offer business admin, engineering and film and video streams). It's a year long course divided into into three semesters and covers everything from "how do I use a computer for recording?" to advanced Midi techniques and copywrite law.
And yes, Mr. Buck will just be across the border (as well as Mr. Arnquist's shop!). His wife owns a bar in Seattle that I plan to visit as well. If I'm lucky, perhaps my Rics will someday be signed by the man responsible for me picking up a guitar in the first place.

Corey,
Good luck with your studies (and enjoy the Vancouver beaches).
Maybe some day you'll have the chance to work with REM.

Paul,
Thank you very much. Working with any or all of the members of R.E.M. on ANYTHING would be the ultimate goal for me.
I hope you have had many enjoyable and fullfilling projects over the course of your career so far.

Corey,
Yes I've been very lucky to have engineered/produced many enjoyable and fulfilling projects in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Singapore over the course of my career.
Some of them are even ranked as musical milestones by music critiques/journalists in my country.
Beside my hard working, I should humbly say that I'm one of the lucky and privileged ones.
Of course I get dead horses thrown at me to beat back to life sometimes, but that's life I guess.
