Maybe they don't know it's different than selling waterslide Fender headstock logos. They are all over eBay.

Ilan since you mentioned it, I cannot believe how easy it is now to get a 50's or 60's Fender decal.

Someone is going to get ripped off big time because of those things.

Fender should take a class from Mr. Hall about copyright protection..

I'm sure as soon a JH sees this it's gone. I don't know if more people are into infringement these days, or because of the internet you just see it more. ebay has a lot of pirate CD's and DVD's as well. There are so many auctions it's really hard to police them all it seems.

It's just easier to sell pirated stuff these days because there are more places (i.e. eBay) to sell it. There's always been bootleg stuff and knockoffs . . . just now they're sold in even more places!

In my opinion a big problem related to copies is that some of them are getting so good it is difficult to distinguish from the real thing in some cases. If I am searching for a part I would like to be sure I am getting an original, especially when paying for one. Licenced copies where available are ok if you know that is what you are getting and pay accordingly. Although in the case of Rickenbacker I'm not aware of any such thing.

I'm glad someone didn't buy it and come here looking for a blank TRC. man, that would have been some firework display.
