Guitar players get very jealous when a bassist blows them away in the volume department.I agree, with Ampeg it's all about the tone.

I think that SVT/810 is more about muscle tone, then comes the bass tone. After the muscle relaxants.

Just saw an ad on Minneapolis Craigslist for a '73 SVT Cabinet, locals only, I assume...no shipping that beast!
Here's a pic of my current live rig, 4x10 Gallien Krueger cab + 1 Ashdown 2x10, with a GK 400RBIII running the lot.

Steve, love that big white bird. (OOPS!!! forgot where we were.) Hey man! Don't be giving us the bird!

(SHHH!!, what's the scoop on that pretty bird?)

That 'Bird is doing all of the dirty work until my BBR shows up! I'm starting to like it more and more.... Image My band members loved it when I showed up with a dark sunburst 'Bird, they said that was the best bass tone I had ever had....so I went out and got a white one, so you can see it on stage!

Nice practice amps. And what do you use for larger halls?

Wow, I'm feeling a little inferior with my itty bitty Ampeg rig!

A B2RE with a 1X15, a 2X10 w/horn, and a little tone shaping and compression provided by a Bass Pod.
Sorry for the fuzzy picture!
