Fixed mono output jack on 4003 easily

While I was working on my '94 4003 tonight, I took the opportunity to address the mono output jack, which has been buzzing/cutting out for a while. I remember John Hall posting something on the Forum here about the output jacks possibly losing contact due to wear and tear, and how to potentially fix them. His advice (as I remember it) turned out to work great for me - I removed the pickguard assembly (while I had the strings off and was performing other work on the bass), then took the nut off the mono output jack and slid it back into the control cavity, then gently bent the tines that make contact with the guitar cord male end back toward center, then re-assembled everything.
The jack works like new. I'm glad that this Forum has been so helpful to me in learning about my Rickenbackers and maintaining them. It's really nice to have my very first Rickenbacker, which I bought new in 1994 and on which I learned 99% of everything I know on bass, back in action:
Thanks to everybody who is so helpful on this Forum!
