That is ultra-cool! It's just so different from what banjos are supposed to look, with that pale, creepy calfskin covering.

It's really neat to see the late '30s archtop guitar thing carried into a new milieu...Charlie Christian pickup and all.

I believe I saw a picture once of Victor Wooten with a similar banjo-type bass. I forget where I saw it.....Bass Player Magazine, maybe?
