I thought I might try this one, though I think I might have asked it before a couple of years ago:
What amps are used at the Rick factory for either testing, R&D, or just playing? I am also curious what amps Mr. Hall favors at home. Is there one in your office? Do you personally favor different amps for different Rickenbacker models?

There's a wide variety of amps here, many in my collection area. The oldest would be late 50's, but there's more from the early 60's such as various tube B16, B15's, etc. and the Transonics, of course. There's plenty of examples of the TR and R Series as well. On the shop floor we use both TR and R Series amps in the testing and assembly areas.
In the studio at home, for many years I have used RG180 amps for guitars and an RB120 amp for bass. The guitar amps have vintage JBL D120 speakers, while the RB120 has a special dual coil speaker, the second coil of which provided feedback to the power amp circuit as well as a piezo horn. (We used these same amps recently in our NAMM booth demo show.)
But last year I pulled the plug on them all at the studio and brought them all back to the shop for storage. Yup, we now use Pod Pro's rack mounts exclusively, both guitar and bass models, direct into the board. I love these units and don't miss for a second all the noise of the big amps. The ability to get so many sounds and effects with noiseless digital output is just breathtaking.
I might mention that the Mackie board is powered by a rack of RIC RA600 power amps.
