I also assume that there will be no new Bass models ( Reissue, signature or else )this year...
Still hoping for an anouncement of some sort.

Yeah, I think the "new model" is the 1996 in the vintage collection. That's a 325 hollow body 3/4 scale with F hole and the new Amber Fireglo (AFG) color; photos on the RIC website.
So far from RIC we have AFG as the color of the year, the "vintage tone" selector on the 4003, and the 1996. There has been talk about a new bridge, but we don't know yet.

Victor,
Thanks so much for the opening salvo of NAMM photos.
Any possibility of more info on the "Affordable" line from Epifani. Those really caught my eye in the photo sets you posted.

Thanks Victor... now look a pic #2 (Benavente Oracle) and tell me if the headstock shape reminds you of anything.

Yeah, it is kind of like a 4000 series headstock as viewed on a funhouse mirror.

Yeah, Ilan, if we are thinking of the same bass, the headstock looks a lot like a twisted ric head.
Funny... some great craftsmanship put into a lot of those bases, but after a while all those 5, 6, 7+ string custom jobbies start looking the same to me. Must every soapbar pickup be covered in grain matching wood? Must every bass have a huge deformed top horn? Must every Neck through design be a 20 piece laminate neck?
The more I look at it, the more pretty the good old fender's and rics look. I think if I saw someone locally playing one of the custom monsters I would probably laugh. Wood like that should be reserved for furniture or animal carvings.
The Warwick Infinity LTD 2000 is kinda cool though... though even that is a little fruity.
