It looks like a copy. Those inlays are pretty poor and the strap button is not in the right place.

the tailpiece is not a Ric model and I don't think those are real grovers ...

That's more than I paid more most of my real Ric's. Of course I got most of mine a long time ago. Ouch, I'd hate to be there when someone says "Hey it's a copy."

In that case, he was ultimately paying, then, for the authentic truss rod cover, the toaster, and the Seymour Duncan pickup.

The seller emailed me after I wrote him while the auction was still up and told me he read on the internet somewhere that they had one truss rod. He was trying to find out how to tell it was a fake, sounded like he didn't know himself.
I told him.
