Just a quick post with a question.

I want to anodize my pickup covers, bridge, tuners, etc.

Does anyone know what metals these are made from?
Apparently base metal is important to know before anodizing something.

Would appreciate any feedback.

You can only anodize aluminum.

These parts are not aluminum. Some are mild steel, some plastic, etc.

What effect are you looking for?

Just looking to get an all Gold look on the guitar. I think it looks really nice against the mapleglo finish.

Guess I will have to simply plate the parts instead of anodizing then, eh?

What about Alodyne....same deal about Aluminum only?
