The 12-string spacing, at the nut, seems better on the latest stuff from the factory. I know this is a new one, because it has the new headstock. Clicking the last image #6, you see that the midpoint between the D pair and G pair is alligned with the center of the fretboard dot. On previous ones, everything was pushed down a bit more. I think this forum is a good thing !

Cool - any chance we can have these nuts as a standard replacement part....?

I think the wider-spaced nut should be made available to present owners who are having trouble. Excellent, now I can recommend one to a friend, without the caveat "but you may have to replace the nut if your fingers are medium or larger".

This is a good thing. I remember way back in the '90s when some people were wondering why their multiple RIC 12s felt so different from each other, and I got out the calipers. Since then, I have seen many good and some not so good and this change is very welcome. I like the new headstock too. It rankles the traditionalist side of me but I have to admit that it looks better. It seems as if it should have always been that way.

330/12's typically have better spacing than the 360's chiefly because of the lack of fingerboard binding.

Speaking of bad setups, check out the nut on the 330/12 on the front of the Bacon book. Like Simon Cowell would say; "just dreadfull"!

Cole, I have always noticed that. I marvel at it every time I look at the cover of the book.
