Does anyone have any suggestions for a small amp with killer tone that will give me that bell-like sound that can cut through glass?

Vox was on the short list but the new stuff is garbage and the classic stuff is either too expensive or a fixer's delight.

I'm not married to Vox so I am open to all suggestions. I want a small combo amp with one or two 12's and a tone that is all about blues and British Invasion and nothing that recalls an 80's hairband.

Russ

P.S. My main axe is a 350V63

I suggest trying here and look at the YCV40 WR.

If you had the money I'd suggest one of the new Marshall 18 watt amps. But they are serious dough. You could have someone build a kit for you...there are LOTS of kits around for those. Check out www.as84.com and http://www.18watt.com/, and probably Hoffman and Weber have kits too.

Russell, I have bought a couple of the new Kustom 36 Coupe amps and love them. They are two-channel (clean and lead), all-tube, 36-Watt 6L6 powered and 12AX7 pre-amped, have one special-design 12" speaker, and sound great. The last one I got new on eBay with a "Second Chance Offer" of $370 plus shipping - a total of less than $400, which I think was a great deal.

If you can find a shop nearby that has one you can try out, do it.
