Ok, if you had just one choice of effects pedals what would it be, and make?
Compression, distortion?

Tremolo!

I don't really consider compression an effect, per se.

I think counting the Pod as a "bass pedal" is a little unfair . . . it's not really a pedal so much as it is a computer with pedals for controls . . .

That being said, I would choose one pedal and one pedal only: FullTone Bassdriver. Best. Overdrive. Ever. It's so absolutely amazing, I don't understand how I lived without it . . .

I only own one pedal... a Boss ODB-3 overdrive pedal. I like it a lot and would choose it... but then I have little experience with anything else.

I once used a crybaby that was fun as hell though...

If it sounds as good as I hope it does, the BOSS RT-20 Leslie sim. It can supposedly do that Leslie grit, and of course the modulation effect.

If it sucks, then a good compressor does it for me.

Andrew, Could you tell me more about the Budda Phatbass? I've looked at it many times but I always end up getting scared away by the cost.
Thanks for your time,
Bob

Boss Bass Chorus. Back in the '70s when we did alotof Yes, I had a Maestro Bass Brassmaster (used by Squire), some kind of tremolo -- probably electro Harmonix -- and the fuzz built-in to my Acoustic 360. Not bad at reproducing the "Starship Trooper" effects.
