_ONE THING I HAVEN'T HEARD MUCH ABOUT , ARE THE
SEARCHERS' WIVES AND CHILDREN . WHAT KIND OF
WOMEN DID THEY MARRY ? DID THEIR MARRIAGES STAND
UP TO THE STRAIN OF TOURING ? HOW MANY MARRIAGES
DID EACH ONE HAVE ? I ASSUME SOME HAVE GROWN UP
CHILDREN BY NOW . SOME MIGHT BE GRANDFATHERS BY
NOW . WHAT KIND OF ROMANTIC INVOLVEMENTS DID THEY
HAVE . I CAN GET THIS KIND OF INFORMATION ON THE
BEATLES EASILY BUT THE SEARCHERS IS MORE
DIFFICULT .

The Searchers have not been under the microscope like the Beatles were and as far as I can tell they seem to like it that way. Now that you mention it, I have never really wondered? I am still trying to learn about who played what and when.

WHAT I CAN SAY IS THAT MIKE PENDER HAS BEEN MARRIED TO HIS LOVELY WIFE MAY SINCE THE EARLY 1960'S.HE HAS 3 CHILDREN. HIS ELDEST SON MIKE JNR. HAS BEEN THE SOUND ENGINEER FOR MPS FOR OVER 10YEARS. HE IS ALSO A VERY CAPABLE DRUMMER AND HAS STOOD IN DURING ILLNESS AT TIMES

I sense that all the members of the Searchers have always been very protective of their private lives, which should be respected.

I agree Alan. We should respect the private lives of all, however, there is much interesting information in the public domain that goes completely unnoticed if there is no common forum. It is this information, that I have an avid interest in discussing. Your point, however, is well taken.

John McNally is still married to his wife Mary. I think since 1964.

Forgot that: former Searcher Billy Adamson is also married.
Frank Allen - in his words - definitely not.
Chris Curtis also never got married.

Just a bit more info for you all to digest. John McNally is a grandfather twice over, Lily who is now around 3 and a grandson around 15 months(don't quote me on the ages) He and Mary have been together for something like 35 years or may be more. Cheers Pam
