I can dig it. A Russian/Middle Eastern thing. Pretty complex percussion going on there. The last two years I've been playing the Bodhran(Irish Drum). Hard thing to master. Completely wreaks havoc with my carpal tunnel to boot.

In case others are interested to know, the Russian text says that a guy was working in his studio and suddenly two cats (one of them his own) ran in and started a kind of "musical conversation" and so he recorded it and added some of his musical ideas as well.
The rest of course is other people submitting their comments.
Sheena, as always, has an open invitation to correct my mistakes.

Yes, that's absolutely right, Mark, thank you (as usually, i've forgotten to explain what the whole thing was about...

). Just two points to add: this "musical conversation" ended in a fight (as always... oh well... in fact, it was a fight from the very beginning), and the leadsinger (Basik) passed away 2 years ago... However, a European label "Jaro" released this one (posthumously to Basik) as a title track for "Russian soul" compilation. The track's title on the album (quite oddly), is "
Car's lovesong"

(a misprint that is to be corrected).
It's interesting, however, that some cats owners made their pets listen to this track, and the reactions were quite different - from sympathy to sheer horror...
