It's been said before. Why if your a just registered, zero feedback, supposedly new auctioneer, do you start out selling a $4000 guitar? Be careful on this one!

Nope, not mine.
I'll send the # & pics on via email if anyone wants 'em.
The pic doesn't look exactly like one from my auction, but a very similar backdrop.
Also, mine was missing the aluminum top on the 5th knob.
Mine's an '81, BTW.
It does look pretty spiffy for those formal or semi-formal gigs!

I think there are at least two forumites in that part of the state. Jason Bickel and Dean Mentjes come to mind. It is about 130 from me. I don't know where they are in relation to Champaign (Chambana, as some call it).

Both Dean and I (and Lindsay Hahn) are about 100 miles away in Springfield.

I don't know why I thought you guys were closer. Yes, Springfield is a long way away from there. It is a big state.

I lived in Champaign for a few years while I was a college student at University of Illinois in the late 80's. I will never forget riding my bike into town to visit a music store and seeing for the first time ever a real Rickenbacker hanging there - a jetglo bass, just like I'd always wanted. Of course, I was a poor college student and probably looked as such. I asked the guy in the store how much the Rickenbacker cost, and his reply, honestly, was, "more than you can probably afford." Man, I wish I could meet that guy again these days and just chat....
Really, though, Champaign-Urbana is a vibrant music scene these days, with lots of creative stuff happening. I don't know if the music store scene has improved at all, though....
