Zimbabwe Music, huh? Yeah right!

Notice the rounded heel.

I'm not a RIC expert...

But shouldn't it have a square heel if it's a 1964 model?

I sent him an email. Lets see what happens.

The picture must be wrong...

The seller says it has "several necks". So I'm thinking maybe 4080 or 362/12...

Paul, the "necks" are apparently on the "fron". Is the "fron" in the same spot on all guitars?

Yeah, and there's "ware near to the strap button at the back of the guitar. There is very slight ware at the back of the neck in the G chord position".

Tupperwear party, anyone?

A Freudian slip, as in "one should be ware-y of my bogus auction".

THIS IS NOT A REPLICA FOLKS!!!!!!!!!! I repeat NOT A REPLICA!!!
The guitar looks nice to me (yep i'm nowhere close to being an expert, unfortunately), but this phrase made me doubt...

I noticed that too, Sheena. He's possibly trying to fend the 'doubters' off before they arrive en masse. It seems the heel may be the first thing that raises doubts in the mind of those 'in the know'.

I don't know enough about Ricks of that era to put forward an informed opinion but I'd certainly trust the observations of the good people here before others.

The '64 'original hard case' looks too good to be true also........

Yes, Aitch, but the effect of those claims would certainly be not what he was expecting - perhaps exactly the opposite... see, when somebody claims in capitals with lots of exclamation marks, it sometimes makes people doubt...Image

I do not consider myself an expert on the transitions that took place in '64. Is April '64 too early for a round neck heel? What makes you say it's not real?

The heel looks right for 5th month in '64. The only thing, besides the ad, that bothers me is the thickness of the pickguard. Anyone here live in Memphis?
