What if Paul had played the 4001 on Ed Sullivan?

We all know that it never could've happened.

But...I made this fake picture for my friend, and I ended up liking it! Imagine how different it would've been!

If Paul had played the Rick on that show, I dare say Hofner might be out of business now.

If the Beatles hadn't played Ricks, I dare say Rickenbacker might be out of business now.

*prepares for massive verbal attack*

Atta' boy, Ringo!! Stay true to your regular gear!
You other Beatles, go back to your hotel rooms and get your other guitars!

Paul looks good with he Jazz. He seems to be struggling with the RIC.

All I know is thank God Leo didn't get to them sooner.

Hey! I just passed the Babe (715)

Paul seems somehow out of place in that image...

Know what I just noticed?

If I'd given George a Jazzmaster too, they'd have a pre-1965 Ventures set up!

Leo never DID get to them, Brian - Don Randall did, years after Leo sold the company.

Amazing, isn't it, how closely we associate artists with certain instruments?
Beatles with Fenders and Epiphones could have happened yet it looks so ridiculous.

It's true...like Hendrix with a Strat, Robbie Robertson with a Tele, or Zappa with an SG...hard to picture it any other way.

Diversity is the key to a healthy guitarosphere...
