Ya know, youtube.com probably violates every copyright law known to man, but it is an interesting place to pick up music trivia.
Take this, for instance:
I believe that to be Glen Matlock playing a You Know What. Here's the link:

Yeah Glen Matlock was a Rick man, plus he liked the Beatles - that got him kicked out of the Pistols for that bass god Sid V.

And they just told the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to bugger off. I love those guys.

Miles Davis is being inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame? When did he start doing rock records? The R&R Hall of fame is *****!

Good point! When are the Beatles getting into the Jazz Hall of Fame?

I agree. The RRHF is one of the more pointless, if not the most pointless HOF around. Going to the Baseball HOF can be a real pilgrimage for some. Does anyone really care about the RRHF? Either you like the music or you don't.
Now if they sold t-shirts that say "My Favorite Band is in the RRHF and Yours Isn't" then it would be worth it.

I'd suggest a Beatles t-shirt with "We're not in RRHF!" line...

I care about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame only because they like to play it safe all the time . . . they'd rather induct someone who is debatably rock rather than, say, Rush, or Yes, or any band that critics have panned. It doesn't matter if your band is one of the most influential rock bands ever, or if they've put out tons of records, or if they hold a record for records sold or whatever . . . if Rolling Stone hates you, you won't be inducted.

I've loaned Glen Matlock my Rickenbacker a couple of times when he's joined my band on stage - he's a top bloke and I even got him to sign the back for me!

So Simon, was he fired for the reasons they say he was? You had to ask him, right?

I thought I'd steer clear of that!! He did say he'd recently got his original Burgundy Rickenbacker back after it "disappeared" some years back - its the one in a lot of the great early footage of the band - so that's good news... what doesn't feel so good is that was 30 years ago...!!!

Yeah, tell me about it...I got into the Pistols as a senior in high school, started my first band soon after. My 30th high school reunion is this summer, UGH!!
