I have a Model TR14 amp I got from Santa Clause back in the early 80's (I think it was CHRISTmas 1983). I have some questions I hope you guys can help me with.
I just started taking bass guitar lessons. Do you think this amp will be OK for a practice amp if I don't turn it up too loud? I don't want to blow up the speaker.
Next question: The distort quit working on this amp. Don't know why. When I turn the distort knob, nothing happens. Is that fixable by a "shade tree mechanic" or is that an authorized dealer job?
Thanks guys.

Hi Kevin, welcome to the forum, I don't know why no one has answered you before now. I have a couple of these amps, they are great guitar amps, but...
Question 1,
I wouldn't play bass through it at any more than whisper quiet volume as the bass frequencies will blow the speaker cone.
Question 2,
As it is well out of Rickenbackers comprehensive warranty period I would just take it to your local repair guy.

Hey Welcome Rooster! What is the serial number on your amplifier? How about a couple of photos.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
