Yaah... i've seen a similar thing "in the flesh" once - a guy played a "drawer guitar" somewhere in Arbat...

I used to make that sort of garbage when I was a 10 year old kid! Should have kept them - they'd be vintage garbage by now.

looking at his stuff made me think the guy had to think it through and say to himself ... "How can I really, really do this badly?" for instance he uses a decapitated screw for the nut, then he draws frets on piece of wood to make it appear to be a neck, then he rather sloppily hand writes on the headstock ... this guy is a genius at being stupid!!!

Yep...no need to buy one of those...i have two...a cookie tin banjo and a cigarbox guitar...they are both FUN to play
They sit next to my fireplace (no,not IN it..lol)and whenever anyone comes by the house they automatically pick one up just to check it out..players and non-players alike...they all smile and give a strum or two and then are amazed how good they sound for what they are...just plain fun!
They are supposed to harken back to the days before guitars were readily available for cheap and times were tough, think dustbowl 30's, and a guy STILL wanted to play so made do with what he could find around the farm and build himself...
Takes about 2 hours to build one, while your watching TV...like building model cars or airplanes...
Did i mention they are FUN?
)
