The Searchers' Children and Music

We have only briefly touched upon this subject before. I know that Mike Pender has a son who has stepped in to drum for MPS on occasion. I am wondering if any of the other Searchers have children who have ventured into the music business?

John's son and Mike's son did have a group at one time, their name escapes me though, Mike's son has been acting as Roadie for Mike but with so few dates for Mp Searches probably not now.

John's son went to live in Geneva last time I heard

Mike Pender's son (Mike Jnr) is currently operating the sound desk on "The Merseybeat Anniversary Tour 2003" here in the U.K. The tour stars The Fourmost, The Pete Best Band, The Swinging Blue Jeans and The Merseybeats.

Apparently so Tim, I actually think that for a group to have credibility if it it is purporting to use a name associated with an era, then at least there has to be one member in the band who can justifiably be associated with the group, The Fourmost I believe do not have any personnel in the band who had any connection to the successful period, albeit briefly, that The
Fourmost had.

The Pete Best Band in reality never exsisted in the sixties, but from a curosity value may have some appeal to diehard Beatles fans.

50% of the SBJ's and Merseybeats are original members.

Apparently there is one member of the current line-up of The Fourmost who joined the band when at least one original member was still playing in it.

Fourmost: Unbroken chain, then! That means that Eddie Rothe could still be the drummer in the Searchers (if he so wished), long after John (and Frank) had left the ship! And why shouldn't he? But his reason to join a "Good Old 60's package" would be thin, I think, and purely financial.
(= I used to drum with their original rythm guitarist!).

Einar (solved Michael's game with astonishing 26 trys yesterday!)

Einar: The Searchers' Forum has been upgraded. While Roy is young at heart his status will climb with his next post after the promotion software kicks in. I was very pleased to see your post here today.

Just a post to see what I climb to
Find the new format pleasing on the eye.
Chris Curtis is scheduled to be interviewed this coming Sunday on a radio station in Liverpool.
As it is only broadcast locally, I shall not be able to listen to it, but hopefully if my contact does not tape the wrong station, as happened recently I hope to be able to comment by end of next week.

I am no expert on copyright and provided I assume I don't produce a word for word transcript, as it is broadcast for public consumption, I forsee no problems, unless others can enlighten me.

Good to see you back on the forum Einar.
