I thought the forum would like to see the 1000 put somewhat back together. I found it in disrepair if you recall.
Also the T100 just came in today.. WOW it has a lot of knobs and switches on it..

Cool! How's the amp sound?

It sounds good Noel. It needs a little TLC. I intend to gig with it on smaller jobs (when the Ampeg stack is to big).
I guess the intent of the transonic was for it to be a general amplifier. It has a bass, guitar and keyboard input on it.

Dave, I didn't catch the thread before the fix. Perhaps you could post a before picture? Hot little number you got there!

Dave,
Have you tried the Transonic out with a bass? I'm intrigued.

I'm not what you would call a "vintage purist", but it is very nice to see something brought back to it's intended condition & played again.
Cool amp, too.

Thanks Kevin........
Yes Bob,
I am still playing with it, lots of different combinations of inputs and tone selections to go thru.
Forum member John Minutaglio recommended that I send it to the original designer,(who is now making his own amps), for a restoration. I am thinking about an up grade to 200 amps. I am also thinking about installing upgraded speakers in it too (since the speakers are not original).

What does it have for speakers, & how many?

They are 2- 12" "Eminence" speakers now.
Jwilli I understand that most Transonics came with JBL speakers, but that was not always the case.
Much I need to learn about my new amp.

I respectfully suggest that you mean "an upgrade to 200 watts, Dave...if it was 200 amps, you could weld car frames with it...
