Hmmm....celebrity owned???

"This bass was formerly owned by Greg Rzab, of Buddy Guy, Jimmy Page@Black Crowes, and Govt' Mule fame. No paperwork is included to support this claim. I did purchase the instrument directly from Greg."

I'd bid for sure if the inlays were crushed MOP, even without that, it looks pretty good for what I want...

Why'd I buy that Redneck?...

What's the serial number? It might be interesting to note when the transition to the "other" material was made, for historical purposes.

GC = "Heavy use"...Not always...

Sometimes they get it right...

That 73 bass on eBay has a serial number less than a 100 away from my fretless.
And, I thought we had seen this one before...

Uh, why are they calling it a 4001S?

I hate it when people add the S suffix to an instrument without knowing what it means, largely because it simply sounds better.

Is it just me or the picture of that rick on Ebay. The inlays looks not correct. Probably just me

It's been refretted with what looks like jumbos. They seem to stick out over the binding, or maybe it's just the pic.

I like it. Personally, a refret with bigger frets is a + to me.

Yeah, I think the auction text states refret, replaced pots and switch. Although the originals are included. If it was a good refret with original size wire, no problem. Otherwise, I'd be a little reluctant. Wonder if the celebrity status makes this more valuable than normal?

Yeah , I get a kick out of that . People think because it was owned by some famous player it is worth more than then it normally would be .Just aint so in my book .its kinda beat and has a refret . plus it has the lino inlays . 1,999.00 ?!?!? pushing it a little in the $ department i think .
