You know, I hate to say it....but I like it....alot! Its going to be pulled, but I still like it!
A 4001/4004CI hybrid with active pickups....interesting concept.

I like it too! But, they could have done something better with the truss rod cover.

I am going to bid for it. It has much of what a modern Rickenbacker fretless should have that I like. The long scale, 24 fret, ebony neck is a must for me. The active p/ups are another subject matter as are the assorted hardware issues, but all in all a very cool bass imo...

Not exactly the same dimensions as a Rick, but a nice job. Not over the top with the wood grain.

Charly, I have to disagree. EMG pickups sound great on my '75 4001. Really you gotta hear it. You'll be hooked. Not that there is anything wrong with Ric Pickups, they sound great too.
BTW the auction is GONZO!

I copied all the pics to add to the collection.
I'm eyeballing another RIC so........looking over shoulder for the wife........what was I saying?? Oh, if it doesn't go too high.....looking again.....I might......OUCH!!!!!!!!! Never mind......
