From the band...

As many of you already know, the Derek Trucks Band's trailer was stolen last Thursday night with all of our stage gear. We really appreciate everyone's concern and support. The gear was insured so we're not looking for donations, just asking for everyone to keep an eye out for the gear in their local communities and online since many items were unique and irreplaceable. Since the trailer was stolen in Atlanta it would be helpful if fans/friends in the southeast would contact their local music stores that buy used gear and give them the list below to keep an eye out. Everyone else should keep an eye on websites that deal in vintage gear. Thanks again for your concern.

Key items to keep an eye out for:

Pearl 5-piece Drum Kit (Black)(SN.. 652623, 642341, 83233, 6526231, 652163)

Fender Super Reverb Combo Amp (blackface) with Weber speakers by Jenson (SN.. A13225)

Fender Super Reverb Combo Amp (SN.. A06896) (blackface) with Pile Driver speakers

Hammond B-3 (SN.. pending) Custom foot switch

Hammond Leslie amp – 147 model (SN.. H25474)

Hohner Clavinet E7 (SN.. 3447 410)

Yamaha Motif keyboard (SN.. IHO1189)

Ampeg SVT Bass Head (1974) (SN.. 112149)

If the thiefs are smart (and I hope they're not), they'd probably wait a long time before selling any of that equiptment. And when they do, obviously they can't say it once belonged to Butch Trucks.

Looks like that should be Derek Trucks. Butch is his uncle.

Maybe some of that gear is borrowed from his uncle. Who knows.

It's not too bad (others would disagree). Other than two years in Miami I've lived here all of my life. There's definitely some "gangsta mentality" around. It's just like anywhere else I guess, be smart & know where NOT to go.

That new movie "ATL" has gotta be thrilling people down there, eh? Gangsta Paradise!
