Bob: I've been a Newell fan ever since that disc came out. I've gone back and found practically everything he's ever recorded. That CD is good but he has lots of other great stuff like 'Radio Autumn Attic', 'The Off-White Album', and 'The Spirit Cage'. He also has great stuff he recorded as The Brotherhood Of Lizards and The Cleaners From Venus. Great stuff!

Bob: I don't think so. These discs are around. Just look at Ebay and Amazon. I also located much rarer Cleaners From Venus material through Jar Music in Germany. Newell put out his music on cassette-only for many years. He finally agreed to supply the master tapes to a fan in Germany who put them all on CD. It's a series of at least a dozen albums. Lots of interesting stuff. You should check out Newell's website at www.martinnewell.co.uk . He has a blog that's always fun to read. He's a very talented writer.

If you like that, you may like this (see I could have been a DJ). Very nicely produced by Brad Jones.

According to Martin's website, he'll have a new album entitled 'Sonny Daze' out this fall. He's currently recording the new songs. He even says that he finally got himself the "Rickenbacker 12-string that I promised myself twenty-odd years ago". Previously, he borrowed Ricks whenever he needed one for recording purposes.

That's great news. I have to pick up some more of his material. He is a great songwriter.
