Does anyone know if this band did any gigs other than the Rock and Roll Circus, or did Lennon only get it together for that occasion? Also, does anyone have the tab for their version of Yer Blues?

As far as I know, they only got together for the the 'Rock And Roll Circus' taping in 1968. Of course Clapton was again used for the Toronto Rock And Roll Festival performance in 1969.

The Toronto show was; John, Klaus Voorman, Eric with black LP and Alan White on the kit, and her obnoxiousness in a huge white mail bag sounding like a wailing cat that was being immersed in boiling oil. I worked on the stage for that show, and even saw myself sitting on an amp stage left in the film. Also at the end of they're set John and Eric leaned the're gtrs against the amps whilst the gtrs were still turned up, big noise, and that is when I went over to John's sanded epi, picked it up in left hand, turned the standby on the amp, and then handed said epi to Mal Evans who was with them. Yoko was pitiful. Also had Ray Manzerek bumming smokes from me. Little Richards band was the tightest of the show. cheers...R

A great bit of history Rickard. This is much appreciated. Any memories of the appearance or condition of the Epi? Did it feedback (squeal} as much as it was reported to have done at the show?

Now you're taxing my memory Peter..HaHa The condition of the gtr I did not pay attention to, or more probably I've forgotten. They played thru the old Traynor custom specials that Pete Traynor donated for the show. I'm sort of seeming to recall the epi giving John some problems tho as far as feeding back, the nature of those hollow things and playing loud. Sure was an enlightening experience for a 19 yr old. And I'm sure that I was scared ****less at the time also. I was holding Johns gtr.

Jerry: Keef played bass on Lennon's 'Rock And Roll Circus' performance. Klaus played bass in Toronto.

I'm intrigued by the name of this band - I get the overt meaning but could there have been a subtle slight on Paul in this band name?

I thought the same, Bill. Mac is pretty obvious.

Yea, I thought that too. Also, 68's a little early for those type of overt slights, no?

i just watched this dvd again, and is it just me or is brian jones not even switched on? he plays a great slide part on one song while keef is on acoustic and the rest of the tunes appears to be completley mixed out?
