For those who didn't catch it, Look at the award
statue McCartney recieves in a clip on the "Chaos" dvd.
I don't know exactly what spot on the dvd it is, I just saw a replay on VH1 and reminded me of it.

Can someone explain this "Macca" moniker? This is new to me. It sounds kind of like "Has been", or derrogeratory or something. Or is it just an affectionate nickname? I've always just heard "Paul", and people knew who you were talking about. Is their another "Paul"?! Somebody straighten me out here. Thanks, Christian

As far as I know it's short for McCartney. That's it. Nothing derogatory intended.

John certainly used it. But did he coin it? Always playing with words as he did...

Is there another Paul? Why, of course!

Macca himself uses it. During his 76 tour he had a funky silk jacket with strawberries on it and the jacket read MACCA. I have a picture of it somewhere.

You can hear John Call him Macca in some early outtakes...as early as the first album..

Yes, the first Paul was called that and then of course the replacement Paul had to go along with the name as well.

Fantastique, Alan!
I reckon the lovely Sylvie Vartan was hot for JL...... judging by the photo. And he doesn't look like he's backing off either!!
