Who to service rare AC-30 Super Reverb Twin?

I have a very rare AC-30 - a mid-60's vintage Super Reverb Twin piggyback with a non-trapezoidal head. I have owned it for 20 years or more, and it has been sitting unused for the last 15. I need some input on who to trust to bring it back up to speed - it's worth quite a bit of $$$ and I want someone experienced with AC-30s and who is trustworthy to do the work. Suggestions?

Sure. There's a guy named Charlie Kittleson, of Lake County, California, who is highly recommended by all my Bay area tube amp buddies. I think he can be reached in this Forum, as a matter of fact...

Another guy who you should consider would be Don Butler, also known as the Toneman. You can see his work at the website below. He has done MANY Vox AC30's over the years and has a very good reputation. I can do this type of amp work myself too, but even I would have Mr. Butler do this type of restoration work over doing it myself because of his decades of experience on what is vintage correct and his habit of doing top notch work. He makes a great booster pedal too!

We need to know where you're located Matt. No use everyone recommending repairers in the US if you don't happen to live there.

I can work on your amp. I have serviced and restored hundreds of tube amps. I have been a professional amp tech since 1989 in the San Francisco area. My rates are reasonable and I give a substantial discount to musicians. I carry lots of original NOS parts and tubes for all types of amps.
