Poor old Dave didn't get many screams Image
What a great clip. Such a strong vocal sound. Gene provided such power in the vocal mix IMHO of course. Great find Peter !

Great shot of the "youngster" Chris Hillman there at the end. Saw him perform a few weeks ago with Herb Peterson in Dallas. Great show...

Very good! The Byrds were so placid in their delivery, but that was what they were all about. Thanks, Peter.

Thanks!
"The Bobby Sherman and Glen Camel" were also on that show apparently.
(That was comic actor Ed Wynn doing the introduction, for all you youngsters out there.)

By the way, that ftp site has other videos too ... the 1910 Fruitgum Company, etc.

Ed Wynn was also in (Among others), "Dear Brigitte", with Brigadier General James Stewart, Billy Mumy (Lost In Space, Twilight Zone), and of course the impeccable Brigitte Bardot (1965 vintage!!-I wonder if she had checkerboard binding?!?!) Also Glynis Johns, who starred with (Then Colonel) Jimmy Stewart in "No Highway In The Sky". About an airplane with metal fatigue problems; the aircraft mockup was actually built using hybrid parts from other aircraft. It kind of resembled the Republic XR-12 "Rainbow". WHOA-SORRY!! Way off topic here... So how about all that straightener in Chris Hillman's hair. Whewwwwwwwwww. Back with the Byrds guys now. Back with The Byrds. Christian

Great for learning the Crosby harmony; it's way louder than anything else in the entire mix. Usually, Byrds live shows never featured David up to volume. I know, I know: '60's P.A.'s!!! Christian

Wonderful find Peter. The thing that moves me is that just by watching McGuinn with his Ric, you know he means business - no B.S.
It's the real thing. It's the same as when I saw The Beatles or Dylan live for the first time. Yes, those WERE the days. Thank you.
