I just got a new Ric TR-7 combo amp (probably 25 years old). Unwrapped it, powered it up, plugged in my 360/12 and compressor and it sounds great! Perfect for the music room or studio. The tremolo on this baby is wild. Highly recommended.

I think that they are underrated amps. I use two TR7's mic'ed up for Ric-o-sound, I also use a TR14 and a TR25, and believe it or not, I use a TR35B for my basses!

I have a TR7 too, that I use when I wanna play upstairs--it's nice and light, and wonderfully easy to move from room to room.... But mine has a real annoying hum when it is turned on, and I'm not sure what to do about it. Does anyone else have this problem?

None of mine hum, it may be your house electrics earth (ground).

Not having a grounded plug is one drawback of the amp. But with the other features, I think it's a great value. Radio Shack makes an adaptor plug that filters out interference.

Mine all have grounded (USA) plugs on them.
