It looks like V63...

The headstock is "regularly right handed" and it's weird for a C64S...

Looks like a V63 with the horn shaved, to me.

I agree Dave. There is even a Freudian slip in the written description, "63s".
Might just be the photo's, but the proportions in general seem at odds.
I'd be curious to see the serial #

The horns have simply been given the 'McCartney treatment'.

VERY true Francesco!
The way these prices are going I'd almost believe anything!
Still shaking my head over the 4001CS sale on Ebay. I never thought they would ever be worth so much even though..... I was offered $300.00 MORE than that selling price for my baby about a year ago, and turned it down! I know, I know, I can hear the groans and I can almost see the shaking heads.
How did that song go again? "Money can't buy me love"?

That's exactly right and to my knowledge no V63 ever came from the factory already sanded down. Only the C64S comes like that AFAIK. It is a nice bass though.

It is in fact the same bass. Beautiful.

Funny thing is that these non-factory horns are more accurate to McCartney's bass than the horns on a true C64s are. A real C64s' horns are too sharp-edged and more broad. They need to be sanded a bit more to have rounder, sleeker edges, IMO.
