Hmm! One would think this would be an issue. But having said that, why are they still in operation. Personally I have never used them for anything. I would be interested in hearing opinions from others.

I think the "NO LOGO" disclaimer puts 'em in the clear maybe?

I've used them for a 4001 V63 pickguard . Nice work .

The shape is trademaked so the "no logo" thing doesn't make them:

I like them somewhere in between where they are nice and firm but not droopy. Oh, you mean the matzo balls?

If the TRC is a trademark what about the pickguard itself. It's a unique shape. Many people supply replacement pickguards.

I needed a 450 guard a couple of years ago, and called RIC. They directed me to this site or another similar.

I think, rightly so, that the TRCs shape is more important as it is directly tied to the logo.

What if for instance you have a real Ric and no TRC. If nobody can legally sell you one, and RIC won't unless you send them a replacement. If you have nothing to send you will have to live with out TRC.

Unfortunately, that is a problem that I am sure John would lve to solve, but as yet no real solution as long as fraud exists.

along that line I am toying with the idea of making my own trc's for my own 4-2-5 Ric basses that will say Rathenbacker ... to keep legal I will never sell or distribute them in any way ...
Didn't Lemmy change his to say Rickenbastard?
