#39/60, manufactured feb 14th, arrived last week (after travelling from Santa Ana to North Carolina, then back to California).

Do I need to provide any information beyond, "I love it!" (as do the two of my Ric bass playing friends who have tried it out)?

Thank you Mike Parks! Thank you John Hall! And thank you Lemmy!

Doug

Actually, another one arrived in a music store in Osaka. Just saw it online yesterday. It had been there since Mar. 24, and the price at the current exchange rate was a measly $3000! I was scheming how to get it back to the US (I'm moving back in about a month) and how to explain it to my fiancee, but the perfect thing was, we had to go to Osaka the next day anyway. However, when I looked again, it had sold! I was so close! Aaargh!!!

Here's the link: 4004LK gone!

is it just me or does the carving look less detailed than on some of the earlier ones?

Congrats Doug....welcome to the club ! Image

If you could post a pic or two and any other info you have I'd appreciate it. I'm trying to keep track of them and it would be nice to have pics to compare variances in the carvings.

The one that I picked up at ed roman the carving was kind of ******. It was just unfinished carving and was kind of sharp like you could cut your hand on it. Its raw wood carving no finish or really any smoothing as far as I could see. I imagine pieces of it would just splinter off. Did not get to plug it in though that is why I am wondering how they sound.

Yeah I guess it has a redneck vice going. Still looks like a cabinet to me.

Why do you care how they sound if you think they look like **** and bad cabinetry? I don't know how else to word it and I don't mean it as harsh as it sounds. I'd just never ask what a particular tuba sounds like because I have no interest in one.
