are there any doublenecks that are 8-string bass/4 string bass?

If I was rich I would get one just to go on stage and do a few songs with it... I'm kinda tiny so it would be pretty funny.

There was that kinda famous Alembic "Dragon" 8/4 - the 4-string neck was fretless and had a crazy inlay of a dragon attacking skeletons that were holding a naked woman prisoner (?!!) - it was going for something like $12,000. I can't find any pictures online - it used to be for sale at a place in CT...

no rics though? I have decided that when I am rich (maybe 15 years) I will get a doubleneck ric.

But it is the old Enzo "Ferrari dilemma"... sigh

p.s. that alembic needs WAY more knobs...

Just knobs? It needs at least 12 more pickups as well. Just in case you can't get "your sound".

I'm picturing a 4005/8, with a "comb."

How about a Hofner 191 doubleneck? This one is in Germany.
