Does anyone have a spare BT tailpiece to sell? I am looking for a one for my Blackstar. The original has developed quite a bit of lift and must be replaced.

Hey Ted, my e-mail messages keep failing to reach you. What could be the problem?

Doesn't a Blackstar have the two extra screws in the back?
I'd have a chrome one bead blasted and powder coated if you can't find a black one.

Some Blackstars may have the extra screws but mine does not. My Tux does.
I thought of adding screws but it is bent so much that the sides are distorted.

Sergio: I will check our spam filters. We have been getting spam-blasted by drone machines all over Portugal and France for the past month or so.

Ted, could you post a picture of the bent tailpiece? I find it difficult to believe that it is worse off than the one on my 4003S/5 SPC which I was able to bring back to functionality.
BTW, I pulled out my Blackstar (the 'real' one) tonight and noticed that the tailpiece is showing some lift, so I will need to work on it like I did the five-string, namely rebend, drill holes, and install screws.

I have a 4-hole BT tail piece I'm willing to sell.

You could hold on to the original and just buy a black Hipshot replacement. They're direct replacements, so no modification is necessary, and then you'll still have the original to keep it stock.

Alan, I hope you don't mind:
I'd say that it's a viable alternative; good suggestion, guys!

That photo was pre-intonation, obviously...
The only issue I have with this design is that the screws do not thread all the way through the saddles. As a result the intonation adjustment with the included long screws may not be enough. In that case you can 1) email the guys at Hipshot and ask for some shorter screws or b) go get them yourself; they are a standard thread and diameter.

I might use a Hipshot on some of my other Ricks but the Blackstar and the other limited edition instruments are going to stay as stock as possible.

Ted, how about a picture of the bad tailpiece?
