Rickenbacker Video - Rittor Music?

Whilst thumbing through my newly-arrived copy of the Rittor Book today, I noticed an advertisement within the book for a video tape featuring Rickenbackers.

The advertisement lists it as "The American Guitars Video Series - Volume 1 - Rickenbacker"

The rest of the text is in Japanese of course, and the video tape cover depicts a 12-string headstock.

First question: Does anyone have a copy of this, and if so, what's it like?

Second-bleeding-obvious question: Does anyone want to sell me one, or know where I can find one?

I may have a copy of that. Its narrated in Japanese and had a bit of McGuinn too. I'll have to go find it, find a VHS player and report back to you on this.

I found the tape but I haven't found a VHS player yet. I did find my old laser disc player.

Ok, I found a VCR. This had to have been made in the early '90s. John Hall gives a bit mon the history of Rickenbacker and even strums the original Frying Pan. There is a tour of the factory. Before CNC machines. I saw a few Lennon & Squire Ltd. Eds. Roger mcGuinn plays a 340/12 Lightshow aand his Ltd Ed. and does an interview. The video is better than I remember! Unfortunately, the video is very short, maybe 25 minutes? The rest of the video tells about the other 11 volumes of American guitars.

I have a DVD recorder that I can pipe my VCR and anything else into it, record it on the hard drive then burn it to a DVD. Isn't life grand?

I was thinking about buying one of those but bought a VHS machine ($60) instead. I'll figure a way to connect it to my Powerbook and make dvds. Then I will rule the world! Or maybe not. ;-0

The only problem I had making a dvd on a PC was that the audio didn't match for me. It would turn out like an old Japanese Godzila movie.
