I need some help of experts here. I would like to know if the following pickups are from a faker or not. The seller says they are from a 4003S, but they look a bit different than the pickups on my 4001.
Are these fake or not?

looks like 70s or 80s Rickenbacker high gains to me ...

I have an '88 4003 and 2 '87 4003S's as well as a few 70's 4001's. The pickups on my 80's 4003's look similar to the ones pictured. The pickups on my 70's 4001's look a little more "polished." All of my 80's pickups look as though they are hand cut from a greenish plastic card, then painted black. The overall shapes are a little more irregular and the surface is a bit more "textured" than the 70's 4001 pickups. They may look strange, but they sound great!

Late '80s high-gain(s).

Right. The 70's to early 80's high gains used pale green board that was painted black. Late 80's into the 90's used black board and no paint.
