Based on what Lennon's lyrics have gone for recently I would have thought this well known item would have brought more.
I hope the new owner is Julian or Lennon's Estate. They aren't going to piece it out like a buyer of Sutcliffe's sketchbooks.

I doubt that Cynthia was the seller. Julian has often been quoted as saying he has very little thing's of his father's (along with a dig at Yoko) and has been purchasing those items that have shown up in auction.
