I'm in the market for a used Rickenbacker 330 (jetglo, or fireglo) and want to know recommendations for a US internet purchase. Who will give me the best deal! My closest dealer is 2 hours away.

Pick of the Ricks seem to come highly recommended.

Already found them, but their prices don't seem too special. I guess Rics seem to hold their value pretty good. New/used are only a couple hundred or less different (newer models vs vintage).

Mike Parks at The Music Connection, and Chris Clayton at PickoftheRicks get my vote as the top 2 favorites for high quality used Ric instruments. I've personally dealt with both and can vouch for them being among the best. However, that's not to say there aren't other good used Ric dealers out there.

Anybody have any "real" experience dealing with North Coast Music?

I've purchased 4 guitars from Gary @NCM. He is a good guy. Tell him Steve sent you.
On one of my RIC370/12's, he drove it to a Luthier for me, picked it up when it was ready and then shipped it to me. You can trust him. I have not seen anyone beat his prices.

Although I haven't bought a RIC there, I have bought a Hofner Club Bass, a Valvetronix 2x12 cabinet with trolley, a Vox AC-15 amp stand, a Vox AC-1, and a NOS Colorsound Boost Pedal... all transactions were excellent!

Mike Parks at The Rickenbacker Page is really nice and really easy to deal with. Honest and straightforward, just no problemo, anytime! I've purchased both new and used Ricks from him, never, ever had any problem...

Just for the record, The Music Connection and North Coast Music are authorized dealers while Pick of The Ricks is not. That's only important if you are looking at new, warranted instruments.

Just to respond to Alvaro's post - (I may have posted this before or I may have posted this on another thread), but I really love the fireglo 360/6 VP that I received from North Coast Music. The set up is fantastic - it plays like butter.

For quality USED Rickenbackers, Chris at Pick of the Ricks is hard to beat. I have made several transactions with him with zero problems. He is reasonable price wise, has good used stock, and is knowledgeable about his product. His own ONE YEAR limited warranty on his used Rickenbackers goes above and beyond in my opinion.

For NEW Rickenbackers, I have made several purchases from Paul and Shawn at PM Blues in Rhode Island. They are competitive price wise, have a nice selection, and are more than willing to please.

Wildwood Guitars has a fine selection (usually) of both new and used Rickenbackers. I bought my ultra flamed 660-6MG from them and it was an excellent transaction.
