Hey everybody, I've got a simple question. Has anybody ever tried to convert a 625 to a 425? Thanks!

I'm guessing that would be hard to do. The 625 fretboard is 'high' off the body compared to a 425: the 625 has the pickups sitting on the body' the 425 has them sitting 'in' the body...

I agree...I think the neck differences would make it impossible.

Ah, alright. I honesty didn't know that.
I thought that, since the 425 and the 625 have the same body shape, a conversion would be as easy as a pickguard swap.

Is the routing different?
Also isn't the 425 a student model?

From what I have read, the 425 is not considered a student model, that term applying instead to Models 900 and 1000.
I believe that the routings are quite different. I don't have a 625/425 for comparison, but I do have a 620/450v63:

Are they the same thickness, though?

All I know is that I love my 425V63's. They are lovely sounding guitars.
